Dear SYL Coaches,

Re Home Game Cancellation Policy

We have the SHS Turf & Upper fields on Sundays from 12-6 pm, 3/15 to 6/15, we pay whether or not we use the timeslot. Our default should be to play the games in light rain - if there are torrential downpours, excessive winds, safety concerns such as lightning the head coaches will use their discretion.  Occasionally, the SPS Facilities may cancel if the fields are not playable or are required for a Varsity game, their fields and their rules, hopefully, they give us sufficient notice.  

If you must cancel a game, please provide as much advance notice as possible (3 hours minimum) to the opposing head coach (call if possible), the SYL Girls or Boys Directors, and myself.  The Girls or Boys Directors will notify the league and cancel the officials.

Re-schedules will most likely need to make up during the week or Saturdays at Oak Ridge or Forestdale.  Please do not assume because the SHS fields are open we may use them Monday through Saturday, SPS will charge us anything outside of our contract.
