Inclement Weather Issues

·        If Fairfax schools are CLOSED on game day, then ALL FCYBL games are cancelled that day. This includes games in other counties/cities. Check www.fcps.edu home page for a notice.

·        If Fairfax schools are opening late, then games are played as scheduled.

·        If Arlington schools are CLOSED, then games in Arlington County are cancelled.

·        If Arlington schools are opening late, then games in Arlington County are played as scheduled.

·        Facility status numbers (weekday and weekend)

·        When Fairfax County Public Schools have a schedule change (closing or delay) due to inclement weather or other emergencies, the information is communicated as soon as the decision is made in these ways:

·        Posted on TV Channel 21 (Cox Communications and Reston Comcast cable customers only. 

·        Recorded on the FCPS hot line, 800-839-FCPS (3277), in English, Korean, and Spanish.

·        Sent via e-mail to subscribers to the Keep in Touch e-mail notification system.

·        Called in to area radio and televisions stations.

·        As always, if the FCYBL website indicates games are cancelled, then no games are scheduled and refs are cancelled.
