About the 2023 DYS Track & Field Program IMPORTANT UPDATE
Hello parents and participants of the upcoming Dulles Youth Sports 2023 Track and Field Season!
Please read the following guidelines:
Practice will start Saturday, March 25th from 4pm - 6pm at Rockridge High School.
Weekday practices will be held Tuesday through Friday from 6pm - 7:00pm at Lungsford Middle School.
Weekend practices will be held Saturday from 4-6pm at Rockridge and Sunday from 3-5pm at Lightridge High School.
Please respect the time-commitments of the coaches and be prompt with your child's drop-off and pick up.
Please remember to bring a water bottle for your child.
Please dress appropriately and do not leave clothing or water bottles behind after practice.
Weather alerts and practice updates will be posted on the Dulles Youth Sports website http://www.dullesyouth.comand an email will be sent out.

Spring Season begins March 19, 2023 and runs through June 17, 2023.
Summer Season will run from June 19th through Auguest 5th, 2023.
This Year DYS Track and Field Program is offering a two-tier registration.
Registration is open from January 8th – March 17h

Coaches
Practices will be led by NFL Veteran Coach McCants, a professional trainer, and 3-4 volunteers.
All coaches and administrators are background checked by NCSI.
Participants
The Track and Field program will be for ages 8 to 18.
Full payment of the registration fee is required at the time of registration.

​Practices
There are typically 6 open practices a week until the start of the season.
Participants can attend as many of the practices as they wish.
Practices will be held at a Loudoun County school track in the Dulles area.
Equipment / Uniforms
Uniforms are included with registration for those wishing to compete in the regional meets.
Participants will need to purchase track shoes and socks.
Field Equipment (Turbo Javelin, Shot Put, training hurdles) will be provided for participant use.
Competitions/Meets
All participants will have the opportunity to compete in at least 2 regional meets as part of the base registration fee.
Registration fees are included in registration if you choose the registration fee that includes competition. Updates will be provided during the season.
Meets are typically held on Saturdays at High School Track facilities.
