U7 Practice Plan (1 hour)

Time Allotment

Review fundamentals- ready position/3rd ear/show em’ your back/magic hands/cradling/ground balls/green grass

5 minutes

Field jog with balls (switch hands on the whistle)

5 minutes

Red light/green light (whistle)- throwing and scooping drill “hit the coach”

10 minutes

Water break

5 minutes

Relay race with cones- roll and scoop (assign numbers- 3 groups)

5 minutes

Break groups in stations (3 stations) freeze tag, musical balls, shooting drill, dodging drill (5 minutes per station)

15 minutes

Zig-Zag box drill (two lines cradling through cones on the whistle- start slow then speed it up)

5 minutes

Sharks vs. minnows

10 minutes
