Fall Recreational Baseball 2009

  • For players in Bridgewater and the surrounding area in Grades 1 through 12. 
  • NEW for 3rd Grade and above: Standings, playoffs and championships in all age groups. Regular season is 10 games, with 2 playoff games guaranteed. Some teams may play 3 depending on brackets.
  • NEW program for 1st and 2nd graders.  Games are on Saturdays at 2:30pm for 7 weeks.
  • Uniform jerseys, matching caps, and game balls are provided.
  • Full season scheduling, with optional make-ups for rainouts is provided – rainouts and field conditions posted at 3:45pm daily
  • Well-manicured fields, carded umpires in all leagues.
Other 2009 UPDATES

  • Registration deadlines are earlier to be sure there is no delay in uniform distribution
  • New additional batting cages on PR 2-3, all bullpens now 50'
  • All smaller fields at Prince Rodgers now convertible 46/60-50/70
  • Lights and new batting cage on PR 5

ELIGIBILITY

  • Goals: low-key competitive level of play, with emphasis on learning and having fun.
     
  • Eligibility: Bridgewater or Out-of-Town players in Grades 1-9 (based upon the grade players will enter in Fall 2009). 
  • Teams: Goal is to form balanced teams - please submit requests for friends to play together.  If multiple players register from out-of-town, every attempt will be made to place them together for carpooling purposes.  Full team submissions will not be accepted in the Rec League except by appeal to the League Commissioner.  Teams should register in the Competitive Division.

REGISTRATION

  1. Registration is at www.bridgewaterbaseball.com
  2. There are no team registration in the Recreational league
  3. Hillsborough: all registrations are handled through your league
  4. Bridgewater 10U players must register in the Recreational league 
COSTS
  • Farm A/AA: $50 ($5 discount if another sibling is in the program)
  • Minors/Majors/Seniors
    • In-Town (Bridgewater-Raritan):  $115
    • Out-of-Town: $125
    • Discount per player if another sibling is in the program: $10

FIELDS

 
Every effort will be made to have all Bridgewater Rec teams play in Bridgewater and Hillsborough Rec teams play in Hillsborough – Competitive league teams could play at either location.  Directions to all fields can be found on the website.
Bridgewater: Prince Rodgers Complex with lit fields (convertible 46/60 & 50/70 and 90’) are available Weeknights and Saturdays; also on Friday evenings and Sundays for make-ups.   Torpey will also be used on Wednesday nights, Torpey, Middle School and Eisenhower will be used on Saturdays.  Farm A and Farm AA are played at school and town fields in Bridgewater, Martinsville and Raritan.
Hillsborough: AVM (90’) lit fields on weeknights; Willow Road fields (46/60 and 90') on Saturdays.
