Summer Rec Baseball 2009 (on-line registration is underway)
We are proud to introduce our Summer Recreational Baseball Program for 2009!
Leagues: league eligibility is determined by the grade level boys and girls will enter in Fall 2009 - this allows players to start experiencing the next level of competition in our league structure. Our summer recreational programs are not open to those playing on any Travel Summer Baseball or Softball teams. This program is open to boys and girls, but this is not a softball program.
· T-Ball/Farm A/Farm AA are instructional leagues, open to players from Bridgewater and surrounding towns. All games will be played in Bridgewater. We can honor all requests for children to be paired together, as long as they are in the same grade. Minimum age 5 years old by September 30, 2009.
· Minors/Majors are slightly more competitive, and teams will be balanced to ensure we have enough pitchers and catchers, and an even distribution of talent. These leagues are also open to out-of-town players, but all games will be played in Bridgewater. We will honor requests to pair players together as much as possible.

FORMAT: Teams rosters will be kept at 11-12 to maximize playing time and allow for vacations and days off. The program is instructional and competitive, and encourages children to play positions they may not have played before, like pitching and catching, with a focus on developing their skills. Managers and coaches will work on building skills and moving players around to play different positions. There are no playoffs, no trophies.
COACHES: A big part of our league’s success is based on great coaching support and involvement. Every year we add a whole new set of coaches to lead our T-Ball program, in addition to on-going needs for all age groups. If you are interested, please indicate it on the form when you register. You don’t have to be a baseball expert - we are looking for well-organized and positive individuals to get involved and help maintain a strong and fun program for our kids. A Rutgers Certification course will be run on June 22nd for new coaches. We cannot have a solid program without our great volunteer coaches, so please consider joining the team!
