MONDAY: FASHIONISTAS Grades 1-8  (NEW)

Students will start with handsewing by constructing accessories sich as bags. scrinchies, headbands etc. They will also learn basic sewing by constructing a fashion top. all tools, supplies and materials are included.

Club Dates: January 13, 27; February 3, 10, 24; March 2, 9 

Fee: $275


MONDAY: CODING: SCRATCH Grades 3-8  (NEW)

Scratch Programming for Kids focuses on making sure children understand the foundational computer programming (coding) concepts such as sequencing, branching, looping and variables.They will learn it in a fun way by making animations, dialogues, games, simulations etc. Completion of this program gives kids a very good foundation to start building more complex programs in Scratch, and also to start other Programming languages.

Club Dates: January 13, 27; February 3, 10, 24; March 2, 9, 16, 23; April 6. No Classes 1/20, 2/17 or 3/30 

Fee: $150


TUESDAY: BAND Grades 1-8  (Open Enrollment)

 
The Paul Effman company was engaged in January 2018 to provide after school music lessons, with the goal of having a IHM Band in the future.  Currently offered on Tuesdays afternoons from 3-5pm, the children in grade 3-8 have their choice of instruments, including violin, drums, clarinet, saxophone, and flute.  Grades 1 and 2 are offered the violin.  Open enrollment is available, and the children will perform at the Christmas pageant and have an end of year recital. 

Fee: $62/month. Disounts for additional Child(ren) from same family

 


TUESDAY: MOEMS Grades 4-6 (Registration now closed)

IHM participates in the Mathematical Olympiad for Elementary and Middle School Students. Students are selected to participate in the IHM M.O.E.M.S Math Club based on results of state test scores and the student's ability to think outside the box, rationalize and collaborate with peers. 

Club Dates:  November 19; December 3 ,10, 17; January 7, 14, 28, February 4, 11, 25; March 3, 10, 17 

Contest Dates (*):  December 17; January 14; February 4; February 25; March 10 

Fee: $125 includes registration with the organization, materials, and end-of-the-year awards. 

(*)Please note: If a student is absent on a Contest Day, he/she will not be allowed to make up the contest, which will affect the overall score.


TUESDAY: SOCCER Grades PreK-3  (Winter Session)

IHM will be offering a Soccer Program run by SuperSoccer Stars, that offers a specially designe curricula and low kid-to-coah ration to bnurture, build self confidencabs develope teamwork in every child.   

Club Dates: January 14, 21, 28; February 4, 11, 25; March 3, 10, 17; April 7; May 5, 12, 19, 26.  No Class: 2/18, 3/24, 4/14, 4/21, 4/28

Fee: $280


TUESDAY: MEDIA CLUB Grades 6-8  (NEW)

In preparation to partcipate in the Arch Media Awards, students in grades 6 to 8 will work with Mrs. Keelin to create a 90 second video answereing the question: "What makes me school CATHOLIC?". Students will be judged, and one winner will be chosen from all the Arch Elementary Schools.

WEDNESDAY: CHEER  Grades 5-8 (Registration now closed)

IHM Cheer teams will have an opportunity to cheer at CYO basketball games on weekends, 
perform at the talent show in January, and cheer on the 8th graders at IHM's annual 8th Grade
Student/Parent Basketball game during Catholic Schools Week. 

Club Dates: October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; November 13, 20 and December 4, 11, 18

WEDNESDAY CHESS (Winter Session)

The IHM Chess Club will take place on Wednesdays after school in the Lower Cafeteria from 3pm-4pm. A variety of snacks and drinks along with fruits and vegetables will be provided for all attending students.

WEDNESDAY: FASHION Grades PK-8  (NEW)

Students will learn to how to design and sketch out designs, make mood boards, work wth fabrics,colors and concepts, They will also learn how to use markers,render prints, shadowing and highlighting. at the end of the session, sudent will take home their finihed product

WEDNESDAY: CIRCUITS Grades K-2 (NEW)

Experiment with batteries, light bulbs and voltages as we teach kids about the basics of electric circuits with our fun science based electricity games for kids. Each week, we will build circuits and do a fun activity that uses what we created in some why that helps us explore electricity or the utility of what we made. Our instructors will provide all experimental equipment and ensure all children are enjoying themselves and learning something new every week.

FRIDAY: COOKING Grades 2-8 (Winter Session)

Our young chefs will learn the art of cooking, from prepping to presentation, and of course tasting what we make, and kitchen clean up. We will be using ingredients easily available, and mostly produce of the season, appreciating what nature gives us. We will be making appetizers, hearty snacks, salads, desserts, and child friendly simple entrees

FRIDAY: LEGO/ROBOTICS Grades 3-8 (NEW)

By combining LEGO® elements with the EV3 programmable brick, motors and sensors, kids can make robots that walk, talk, grab, think, shoot and do almost anything you can imagine! We will build projects like a humanoid robot, a shooting scorpion, a slithering snake, a fork lift, an electric guitar, and more. Each robot comes complete with its own unique features and kids create programs that controls the robot’s behavior! With our KidzToPros LEGO Robotics program, you will discover the endless possibilities of LEGO and your imagination!
