NIHA Mission Statement
The Mission of the Newark Ice Hockey Association is to teach the youth of central Ohio, sportsmanship, fair play, respect for coaches, referees, players and fans through the sport of ice hockey, so that they can continue to be good citizens and enjoy the sport of ice hockey forever.
It is also important to note, that NIHA follows the USA Hockey policy concerning coaches and all coaches are screened via a background check conducted by USA Hockey.
It is mandatory that all coaches be USA Hockey accredited, requirements for various levels are listed below.

USA HOCKEY COACHING INFORMATION :
COACHING CLINICS: Coaching Clinics are currently being added to the USA Hockey web site at www.usahockey.com under the coaches section. There will be approximately 50 clinics throughout the Mid-Am District which is Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky and Indiana.
