The Sioux Falls Lacrosse Player Development Program was created using the principles of LADM, the Lacrosse Athlete Development Model. In 2016 US Lacrosse launched the LADM with two primary objectives: Make kids love lacrosse so they keep playing, and give them the right training at the right time through age-appropriate drills, activities, and games to make them better. With this training program, your player will get age-appropriate training that builds their skills in a fun and engaging way and they will become better lacrosse players and better athletes as a result.
Player Development is a long-term process that can't be rushed. Every kid will develop physical and mental characteristics at their own pace and it is our job to maximize their development potential by helping them learn and master the skills they're ready for rather than the concepts they're not. What's fun for an 8-year-old will look different than it does for a 16-year old and their training program should reflect that.
