What to play on an All-Star team?

WYSC's new Director's Session is the program for you!


Players in the U8 and U10 age group are invited to join WYSC's Director's session. 

The training sessions will be held at Athey's Sports Complex on Monday's from 6:30-7:30 for 8 session.

These sessions will be held on the following Mondays:

  • April 17, 24,
  • May 1, 8, 15, 22,
  • June 5 and 12.

NOTE: No training session on Memorial Day!

The primary focus of the Director's session is the development of players. The program emphasis will be on technical training in order to ensure all players have the necessary technical skills including passing, receiving, dribbling and shooting. This program will be coached by Ed Rodemsky who hold a USSF "C" Licence.

Ed Rodemsky


Ed Rodemsky has a wide and varied experience over the last 24 years as a coach, referee, and as a trainer with both boys and girls from U-6 up to U-19.  Ed holds a USSF “C” license and he has coached at the club-level, Auburn Middle School and Kettle Run High School.  Ed has coached in developmental, academy, recreational, travel, high school age, and elite-level travel programs.  He also provided individual training, clinics, and specialized training for field players and strikers.

Ed has coached in NCSL.WAGS, ODSL, elite-level college showcase tournaments and Virginia/Region 1 State/President’s cup tournaments. He has experience coaching an elite travel team in WAGS Division 1 (Ranked #17 in VA, #160 in Region 1). 

Ed has trained WYSC teams in the past and is excited about training with WYSC again.

Players who particiapte in the Directors session will be invited to join the DIRECTOR´s Spring 2017 All-star teams.

Players may wish to tryout for other WYSC All Star teams. Invitation to a non-Director's All Star team is not garanteed. The head coach of the non-Director teams will have final decision on his/her team roster.

Director's session fee is $150.00  ( includes the $75.00 All Star fee) .

  • Week 8: Vision and Awareness, 1st attacker, 1v1defending, small-sides games
