One of the fun things you can do on your team's web page is add photos and create picture albums, which can be uploaded from your team members. Instructions are on the HEY COACH page, in a document entitled "Team Instructions for Uploading Pictures." Feel free to forward the information to the parents on your team, as long as they have the team credentials they can upload and work with the pictures. Thanks to Phyllis Post for pulling the info together for us!

Rutgers Coaching Certification
All Bridgewater Baseball & Softball coaches must attend the Rutgers Youth Sports Safety Orientation and Training Workshop. Once taken, the course is valid indefinitely, and is mandatory for all coaches who want to be on the field or in the dugout – even if you’re just helping out, and not an official coach on the team.
Bridgewater Baseball/Softball covers the cost of the Rutgers program for our coaches and the background check. The Rec Dept will be hosting the next class on Monday, September 14, 2009. Pre-registration is required: Rutgers SAFETY Course Info & Registration (Do not register for the Fingerprinting with the Township)
Future classes will be Monday, December 7, 2009 and Monday, April 12, 2010.
In addition, a background check is required for all Managers and Coaches only. IF you have been background checked with any other background system that is still current (i.e. KidSafe, Sagem Morpho....) we’ll need a copy of that. Otherwise, "blue-forms" will be available through your Commissioner if you still need the background check.

If you would like to reserve the field house for a team meeting or any other reason, please follow these steps: (1) Check the “Events Calendar” on the website Home Page to see if the field house is being used; (2) Go to “Online Forms” to submit a “Calendar Request” . You will receive a confirmation within a couple of days.

Team Managers, Jared Silber will be conducting a photo fundraiser for the next month, giving your team the opportunity to have him come to one of your games and take action shots of designated players, and provide them to the parents on CDs. Full information on the program is outlined below.
Please forward this information to your team, and ask if they are interested in participating. If so, your team should designate one coordinator that Jared can work with, and that person will work with the team to determine player interest and schedule him to come to a game. To contact Jared to schedule your photo day, a registration form is under “On-Line Forms” on our website.
Photo Fundraiser
Capture the memories of your child in action!
My name is Jared Silber. I am a senior at BRHS and will be attending Rowan University in the fall to study Graphic Design and Photography. I currently take sports photos for a yearbook photography company, and I am the “unofficial” photographer for the BRHS JV Baseball team. My family has been involved with Bridgewater Baseball for many years, and I thought that this would be a great opportunity to give back to the organization, while building my business skills. I am offering to come to your team’s game and take candid photos of your players in action on the playing field. I will take AT LEAST five quality photos per participating player. Within a week after the game, I will give discs with the pictures to the team coordinator, who will then distribute them to the participants. You will have the ability to print as many photos as you would like. The disc is yours to keep! The pictures will be action shots and candid shots of the players at bat and in the field. No team pictures will be taken.
Managers will ask a team parent to coordinate informing the team parents about this fundraiser, collecting the money and providing me with a list of participating players, their uniform #, and position if applicable. I will be in contact with a team coordinator and will let them know the date I will be there.
The cost for the photo session is $100 per team (this will be collected the day I take pictures). The more people that participate, the lower the cost per player! (12 participants = $8.33 each, 10 participants = $10 each, 8 participants = $12.50 each, 5 participants = $20 each).
PARTICIPATION IS COMPLETELY OPTIONAL!!!!!

In case of LIGHTNING a fifteen (15) minute postponement applies to all current games at a specific location. All people must seek shelter (in vehicles). If after fifteen (15) minutes, lightning is still sighted, wait an additional fifteen (15) minutes, for a maximum of thirty (30) consecutive minutes. At that time, a Board Member, Commissioner, or a Senior Umpire can decide to cancel the game(s).
If lightning returns after play has resumed, the fifteen (15) minute postponement starts over. The time limit for the game will remain in force during the lightning delay - no extra time will be granted for the delay for recreation games (this may apply differently to tournament games). The game(s) will automatically be cancelled upon the start of a 3rd (15) minute lightning delay.
The cancellation of an earlier game, due to lightning, does not necessarily cancel all later games.
