BOYS U13 SUMMER MAD LAXER TEAM

Are you interested in Playing Summer Lacrosse ?  Well, I will be forming a Boys U13 Mad Laxers Team for summer tournament play. 

This team will begin when the spring season ends in June.  We will practice 2 times a week, and play in 3-4 tournaments around the Tri state area.  Most likely Umass, Long Island and New Jersey.  The cost will be near half the price of other programs out there.  I will not include the flashy gear bag, helmet and gloves.

I will include solid instruction and the right roster of players so everyone gets a solid run at game time.  In addition to the tournaments, I will schedule a couple of local games.  All done by the end of July.  All U13 players are invited to try out.

BOYS SPRING LACROSSE REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

Boys Spring lacrosse registration is now open for all age groups.  The Spring season will begin in March and continue thru June.  The boys age groups are as follows:

Bantam - U9 ( born in 2001 & 2002)
Lightning - U11 (born in 1999 & 2000)
Junior - U13 (born in 1997 & 1998)
Senior - U15 (born in 1995 & 1996)

See each group's registration for further details.  We look forward to seeing everyone on the field.

GIRLS SPRING LACROSSE REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

Hi all,

Registration for Girls Spring Lacrosse is now open at www.newtownlax.com.  Girls lacrosse is the fastest growing youth sport in America and it is no different in Newtown.  This year we will again have our Bantam in house program open to all 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders.  Our Junior program is open to all 5th and 6th graders and our Senior girls program is open to all 7th and 8th graders.  For a more in-depth description of each age group program  please visit the registration page on our website .  We are looking forward to another great season.

Every year we strive to make sure we have enough teams, fields and coaches to accommodate everyone who wants to play.  Unfortunately with the growth we have seen we need to have an good idea of our registration numbers by January so we can make sure every girl has an optimal experience, a great coach and a field to play lots of lacrosse on.  Please make sure you visit our website and register as soon as you can.

Girls Youth Lax Thanksgiving Mini Camp

Mini Camp for grades 3-8 at NYA on Saturday 11/28 from 11-1.  Run by Coach Fletcher and the Newtown Nighthawks Girls Lacrosse team.

YOUTH GIRLS LAX WINTER INFORMATION

Hi All,

Based on the overwhelming success of last years Girls Winter program we are having it again this year.   The Girls Winter Program will start on Tuesday January 5, 2010 and run every Tuesday  through March 2, 2010 at the Newtown Youth Academy. All sessions will be on the NYA Turf field

The focus of our Winter Program is on Lacrosse fundamentals so it is an excellent way for new players to learn to Catch, Throw, and Cradle  and for experienced players to further develop their skills.  Once again  our high school coaches and players will be helping out.  The schedule for every Tuesday is as follows:

4:00 - 5:15pm  Senior (7th & 8th Grade) Girls
5:00 - 6:00pm  Bantam ( 2nd, 3rd, 4th grade) Girls
5:15 - 6:30pm  Junior (5th & 6th grade) Girls

All participants must be registered and current with a US Lacrosse membership.  If you played in Spring '09 your registration is still current.   New players must register with US Lax and provide proof of membership before they can begin play.

The registration fee for the Winter is $135 for Junior and Senior level  and $100 for Bantams.  Please go to www.newtownlax.com to register. Online registration will open on Tuesday , October 20th.  Space is limited at NYA so please sign up as soon as you can to guarantee your spot.

Please remember to bring your Newtown Lacrosse pinnie to play.  If you do not have a NLA pinnie or wish to purchase a new one, they can purchased for $20 at the first session.

As always, Newtown Youth Lax will offer it's Winter Program.  To be held at the Newtown Youth Academy.   High school coaches will be involved again to work with the boys.  Online registration will be open  to the following groups as of 10/13/2009.  Go to www.newtownlax.com.

Times are as follows:

Every Wed. starting 1/6/2010 and running to 3/3/2010.  Cost will be $135.00.

NOTICE TO ALL YOUTH BOYS PLAYERS:

Newtown Youth Lax will be offering a Late Fall program.  This year is shaping up to be better than last year.  This program will be at the Newtown Youth Academy.  The price point is designed to encourage kids to get a stick back in their hand and get a good workout.

LATE FALL 2009

The Late Fall program will be designed to include stick skill training and game sessions.  We will bring back the speed training as well.  Cost is $70.00 for six weeks.  Late Fall is offered to the following groups:

U9.    Born 01 / 02
U11.  Born 99 / 00
U13.  Born 97 / 98
U15.  Born 95 / 96
