Congratulations North Rockland Travel Teams:

Sapphires
The North Rockland Sapphires coached by Tom Devaney and Paul Arico won the Northern Counties Girls Under 13 Premier division this past Fall. The championship was attributed to a great start to the season with 6 straight shut outs compiling a 5-0-1 record and outscoring their opponents 13-0 in that stretch. Overall team defense, strong goal keeping, and timely scoring led to the Sapphires to their 2nd Championship in the last 2 years. The team has been accepted and will play in the ENYYSA Premier League in the Spring.

Rowdies
The U12 Girls North Rockland Rowdies had a tremendous Fall 2011 season. The Rowdies won all 4 of their tournaments including MAPS Cup and Annandale (Va.) Premier Cup. The girls overall record for the season was 32 wins, 2 ties and 0 losses. The Rowdies scored 101 goals and let up only 2. The team is currently ranked # 3 in the nation on gotsoccer.com. All 18 players made significant contributions and coach Neil Blutig could not be any happier with the effort of the team. The team wanted to thank everyone for their continued support and hopes to have a great spring season.
