There are a number of high potential Class of 2025 student athletes planning to play high level NEPSAC basketball in the upcoming winter season. Here are profiles on some of those players:
Xavier Abreu (2025) guard Phillips Academy Andover (MA) - Abreu is a smooth, talented young guard. His father played D1 basketball. He plays AAU for Team Spartan. Video highlights
Ryan Altman (2025) 6’3 swing Rivers School (MA) – Altman is quick and has an effortless stroke from 3, a good pull up game and a high basketball IQ. Good defensive principles and uses his length to his advantage. Sees the floor well. Plays AAU with Bay State Jaguars
Jamari Antoine (2025) 5'7, 140 lbs guard Thayer Acdemy (MA) - Antoine is a young floor general. He is a burst of speed and energy. He is a pass first guard, who runs offense well. Defensively, he communicates loudly and effectively. As his jump shot continues to prove from the outside, Antoine continues to prove why he will be one to look out for this year and years to come in the NEPSAC.
Jack Bailey (2025) 6'6 forward Loomis Chaffe School (CT) - Bailey is from New York City, has good size and the ability to make shots. Plays AAU ball with the Riverside Hawks. 4.0 gpa RTB profile
Desmond Bellot Jr. (2025) 6’0 guard Rivers School (MA) - Bellot is an advanced scorer for his age, can create his own shot and score from all three levels. Can also catch and shoot off screens. Shot 50% from 3 as an 8th grader on Varsity this year. Plays on or off the ball. Plays AAU with Expressions Elite
Chris Bianco (2025) point guard St Andrews School (RI) - Bianco is an explosive offensive player capable of both scoring and running the team. He is an improving defensive player, who can wreck havoc with his ability to pressure the ball.
Drew Brander (2025) 6’1 guard Bradford Christian Academy (MA) - Brander plays above the rim, can defend, and has a great act for scoring the ball in many ways. He has good size and will be one of the best players in his class hailing from New Hampshire. Plays AAU with Mass Rivals .
Julian Chatman (2025) 5’8 point guard MacDuffie School (MA) from Springfield, MA - Chatman is a young super skilled guard, very smart and a gym rat. He has a high skill level for a rising 9th grader and when his body catches up to his skills he will be a big prospect with a high ceiling. A very good student and a great kid. He should be D1 when it all shakes out. He plays AAU for BABC.
Vincent Chaudhri (2025) 6'5 wing Trinity Pawling School (NY) - Chaudhri is a lengthy repeat freshman. He is a great catch-n-shoot shooter who knows how to get to his spots. Plays AAU for Riverside Church.
Ousmane "Ozzy" Diallo (2025) 6'3 guard Taft School (CT) - Diallo has great length and ability to make the 3. He is unselfish and a willing passer. Diallo has the potential to be a high level defender and college recruit. RTB profile
Mike Ellerbrook (2025) 5'11 guard Worcester Academy (MA) - Ellerbrook is new to WA. He is a hard worker and competes on every play.
Jace Emerson (2025) 6'3, 180 lbs guard Trinity Pawling School (NY) - Emerson has huge upside as a two-way player. He is tremendous as a true rising freshman and has a high IQ. His skill set and strength give him the abilty to create shots. Plays AAU for NY Lightning EYBL
Cam Hailey (2025) 5’9 guard Lawrence Academy (MA) - Hailey is a slick point guard with excellent ball handling skills and court awareness. Still very slight, but heady and understands game situations and those playing around him very well. Will emerge into a fantastic leader and floor general.
Jaylen Harrel (2025) 6'4 forward, St Sebastians School (MA) - Harrell is a well-rounded forward who has the ability to also play on the perimeter. Defends with energy and brings leadership to the court. Plays AAU with Expressions Elite.
Joe Harris (2025) 6’2 guard Lawrence Academy (MA) - Harris is currently a catch-n-shoot specialist as a young palyer. He is working hard to develop the rest of his offensive game as a very young player. Emerging athlete who should continue to add length as he matures.
Ryan Hempfling (2025) 6'6 forward Loomis Chaffe School (CT) - Hempfling is from East Moriches, NY. He has good size, frame and skill set. Plays AAU with NY Lightning. 3.5 gpa
Dean Hogans (2025) 6'4 guard Hotchkiss School (CT) - Hogans is a long, and powerful combo guard who is still growing into his physical frame. He is a match up problem in any role as he has the handle and vision to be a jumbo playmaker. He also has the shooting stroke to play off the ball, and the size and touch to score inside. Warren Keel Jr (2025) 5'9 guard Springfield Commonwealth Academy (MA) - Keel plays beyond his years, already playing 17u AAU with Mass Rivals, he has made his presence felt right away with his ability to score and run a offense on such a high level. This isn’t something you see from a 14yr old kid on the 17u circuit.. Keel already has several D1 offers including offers from TCU and Bryant.
Max Knight (2025) 6'6 center Rocky Hill Country Day School (RI) - Knight is young with lots of potential and will keep growing. He plays above the rim and led Rocky Hill in blocks last season.
Nate McCleery (2025) 6’0 guard, Hamden Hall Country Day (CT) - McCleery is a very good shooter with deep range. He is not afraid to take the big shot., and he is starting to developall the other parts of his game. RTB profile
Davian McDonald (2025) 6’2 guard Phillips Academy Andover (MA) - McDonald is a lefty shooter that has great guard skills. He is young and has lots of potential. Plays AAU for the City Rocks. Video highlights
Evan Mitchner, Jr (2025) 6'3 combo guard Rocky Hill Country Day School (RI) - Michner is a two-way player able to score on all 3 levels - including above the rim. He is currently ranked #1 overall player in the class of 2025 in the State of Rhode Island. He is also a fantastic student with an A average.
Joel Nash (2025) 6'0 guard Greens Farms Academy (CT), AAU Team: Black Ops Cadets - Nash secured the starting varsity point guard role as an 8th grader. The last player to do that as a middle schooler at GFA, Tremont Waters, now plays in the NBA. Nash is gifted and smoothed. In his debut season, he deferred to his elders and played the pass-first, run-the show playmaker role. In the coming seasons, we will display more of his ability to score the ball. Ricardo Nieves (2025) 6’1 point guard MacDuffie School (MA) from Springfield, MA - Nieves is a strong and athletic player with a high motor and an explosive first step. He has a great court sense. He shoots it well with good range and will keep getting better. He has huge upside for a rising 9th grader. He should be a lock as a future D1 player. A strong student. He plays AAU basketball for BABC.
Ebuka Okorie (2025) 6'0, 150lbs, guard Cushing Academy (MA) - Okorie hails from Nashua, NH. Cushing coach, James Cormier says that Okorie has some of the best basketball instincts that he has had in the program. He scores at 3 levels, no bad habits, changes pace, makes the simple plays, terrific in pick n roll. Another D1 point guard out of Cushing. Straight A's.
Joson Sanon (2025): 6'5 wing Vermont Academy - Incoming repeat freshman. Long athlete who plays hard. Can make shots and get to the rim. Good offensive rebounder.
Zoumana Traore (2025) 6’5, 190 lbs, forward Millbrook School (NY) - Traore's older brother is playing at DI St. John’s. Tremendous upside as a scholarship basketball player. He is humble and hard working. An athlete who creates opportunities for both scores and stops because of his activity, motor, and length. There is much growth still to come for this young man. Will Wertz (2025) 6'2 guard Governor's Academy (MA) - After a stellar season at Ipswich, MA High, Wertz brings his athleticism, length and shooting ability into the NEPSAC. He currently finds his rhythm at the 3 point line, but will grow his skill set as he progresses.
Sebastian Wilkins (2025) 6’5 forward Lawrence Academy (MA) - Wilkens is long and athletic, with emerging skills on the perimeter and on the interior. Still very young and plenty of physical growth and maturity ahead of him with a long horizon of NEPSAC and high level AAU competition with Mass Rivals.
Owen Zabel (2025) 5'10 guard Rye Country Day School (NY), AAU team: NY Rens - Zabel is a tough minded, high IQ lead guard. He knows how to score, and is not afraid to compete with players five years his elder. RTB profile
