There are a number of high potential Class of 2027 student athletes planning to play high level NEPSAC basketball in the upcoming winter season. Here are profiles on some of those players:
TJ Allen (2027) guard St Sebastian's School (MA) - A true freshman playing two years up on the 3SSB circuit at the 16u level with BABC. Physically advanced PG that plays with a poise and aggressiveness in ball screens to score off the bounce and at the rim. Aggressive on ball defender at the point of attack that rebounds. 3 level scorer taking leaps and bounds as a scorer and creator at the lead guard position.
Reece Ayala (2027) 6'3 point guard Milton Academy (MA) - Ayala is a lefty point guard who continues to improve all aspects of his game. He could always get to the rim with ease and finish because of his size. He has improved his shooting which makes him hard to guard. He will have an opportunity to play a big role right away with a veteran team which will only further his development. Video highlights
Ethan Bien-Aime (2027) 6'1 guard St Lukes School (CT) - A combo guard has good quickness and gets to the rim well. Can make open three. A good defender that rebounds well from the guard spot. Plays AAU with High Rise Elite.
Mekai Brown (2027) 6’6 guard/forward Greenwich Country Day School (CT) - Transfer from Archbishop Stepinac (NY). Skilled and versatile with loads of potential. Can do a lot of things on the court - finish, shoot, pass handle. Has a great work ethic and will develop at a fast rate. Active defender who makes plays and rebounds at a high rate. A gym rat. Will Chapman (2027) 6’3 guard/forward Hamden Hall Country Day School (CT) - Transfer from Hopkins School (CT), Chapman runs the floor well and rebounds at both ends. He has a good mid range and can put it on the floor to attack the rim. Defends multi positions and has a good feel for the game. Plays AAU with High Rise Elite. 3.0 gpa
Jack Charchaflian (2027) 5'10 145lb guard Austin Prep (MA) - Charchaflian can score with either hand, and he shoots the ball extremely well. He is a very good defender that also rebounds well for his size. Plays AAU with Middlesex Magic - Crotty. 4.0 gpa
Otis Crosby (2027) 6’4 160lb small forward St Andrews School (RI) - From Barrington, RI, a outstanding 3pt. shooter; great defender; terrific ball handler.
Theo Edema (2027) 7’0 forward Cushing Academy (MA) - Won the 2023 Zero Gravity Tournament MVP in his first AAU outing. Plays AAU with Team New England.
Moussa Kamissoko (2027) 6'6 guard Trinity Pawling School (NY) - Smooth guard that has a great handle and feel for the game. Finishes around the rim with different moves and can knock down the three. Plays AAU with PSA Cardinals. Video highlights RTB profile
Samuel J Kim (2027) 6'5 small forward Groton School (MA) - Played varsity last year as an 8th grader and saw playing time in every game. Kim is a solid scorer in the paint and is expanding his game more to the wing. He is a very skilled rim protector for his age and his range has increased over the off season. Michael Hoffman (2027) 6'6 220 lb forward Avon Old Farms School (CT) - Hoffman is a big body, high ceiling. Good shooting ability. Does well in contact and is developing rapidly. Plays AAU with NY Rens United. 3.5 gpa RTB profile
Addison Homs (2027) 5’10 point guard MacDuffie School (MA) - A reclass freshman from Brewster Academy, Homs is a true gym rat that is deadly from the 3point field. He is a catch a shoot combo guard that can also put it on the floor. Reliable team player that can facilitate in any offense and understands how to play help defense. He has a bright future with his endless work ethic and dedication to the game of basketball. 3.8 gpa
Davis Kahn (2025) 6'7 forward Milton Academy (MA) - Kahn is an outstanding defender. He gets deflections, steals, and blocks shots. Offensively he has a very high basketball IQ. He loves to pass and screen but is a very capable scorer too.
Elijah McNair (2027) 6’2 point guard Rocky Hill Country Day School (RI) - McNair has great IQ and vision for the game. He is a great shooter from 3 point range and has a great mid range game. His strong points are his passing ability and ball handling. McNair is a great all around basketball player and has a year of NEPSAC competition already under his belt as an 8th grader. Played AAU with Expressions Elite.
Julius Mohamed (2027) 6’9 center/power forward Winchedon School (MA) - Mohamed is a dominant big who is expanding his game. Julius come to the Winchendon School from Largos, Nigeria. As a freshman he should make an immediate impact in the NEPSAC. 3.4 gpa
Ethan Njenga (2027) 6’0 guard St George's School (RI) - Mature beyond years.High IQ + high academic. Ability to play on and off ball. Pesky defender. Can stretch floor with shot making ability but also capable of running team. Plays two grade levels up for BABC 3SSB 16u. Projects as a Division 1 prospect.
Liam Norton (2027) 6'2 guard Trinity Pawling School (NY) - High IQ guard who can spot up and knock down the three, and distribute the ball.
Hunter Peabody (2027) 6’1 145 lb guard Phillips Andover Academy (MA) – Hunter is an excellent shooter with good range. Plays AAU with the Mass Rivals and will make a good impact as a freshman. Very good student athlete with a high GPA. Video highlights
Antonio Pemberton (2027) 6'0 point guard Bradford Christian Academy (MA) - Pemberton is a young point guard that has a great feel for the game and high level intangibles. He plays extremely hard defending at a high level. On offense, he is a great facilitator but can score the basketball when needed. Antonio is projected to be one of the top players in New England in the years to come.
Grey Pierce (2027) 6'7 forward Loomis Chaffee School (CT) – Good skill set. Can score at all three levels. Will be a good long term prospect. Plays AAU with Expressions Elite
AJ Rienertson (2027) 6’1 guard Lawrence Academy (MA) - Newcomer to Lawrence Academy after being named All-State in New Hampshire at St. Thomas Aquinas during his freshman campaign. Versatility on both sides of the ball in that he is willing and able to be a distributor and playmaker for his teammates first on offense but will step up when his number is called. Elite shooter from 3 off the catch and off the dribble in the mid range. Great touch when combined with his emerging footwork will allow for more mid-post and post touches against smaller guards. His length, toughness, and growing athleticism allow him to guard multiple positions on the defensive end. Great communicator and teammate. Plays AAU with Middlesex Magic. High gpa
Lucas Sarno (2027) 5'10 140lb guard Austin Prep (MA) - Sarno played varsity as an 8th grader. He can shoot the 3 and get to the rim and finish with either hand. He is an high iQ player that can really defend on the ball due to his quickness. Plays AAU with Middlesex Magic - Crotty. 4.0 gpa
Cam Thornton (2027) 6’1 170lb shooting guard Brimmer & May School (MA) - Thornton can really shoot the 3 ball especially with both feet set. Has to expand his ability off the dribble, but when feet set you must close out quickly. Willing defender that will improve on that side of the ball. Strong body and frame. Plays grassroots with Team New England.
Kosi Udeh (2027) 6’2 guard Phillips Andover Academy (MA) - Athletic young player that can play multiple positions.
Anthony Vick (2027) 6’4 guard Tilton School (NH) - From Roxbury MA . Played for Cathedral High (MA) last year and averaged 17 points, 3 assists and 3 rebounds. 3 point shooting is a strength of his as he can shoot from anywhere. He is also long and athletic and has potential to turn into a very good defender. Plays AAU with Team New England.
