The SCP Developmental Pool program will be available to children ages 5 to 9 for an introduction of footskills and small sided games.

The training will consist of a variety of age appropriate topics with an emphasis on individual technique and skill, that will enable a young player to develop a solid foundation and comfort level on the ball. Our philosophy is supported by both the United States Soccer Federation and various international coaching philosophies from around the world.

In addition to the training, each session will have an emphasis on small-sided game play. Across the world, young players are learning to hone their soccer skills through "street soccer" in which kids play 3v3 or 4v4 on the streets, in their backyards, on the beaches, etc. Our program will focus on the "street soccer" environment by creating a mini "World Cup" in which players are placed on World Cup teams and play 3v3 and 4v4 games similar to street soccer. These small-sided World Cup games recreate the international and World Cup atmosphere, allowing the players to learn and play in a fun environment. 

The SCP Developmental Pool program will kick off in September 2010 and will run through June 2011. There will be three separate sessions, fall, winter, and spring. Players can choose to participate in one or all three.
