What you need to know in a nutshell:
 

Participants

ORYLAX is open to boys and girls grades 1-8 from Mattapoisett, Marion, Rochester, Fairhaven, and the surrounding areas.  New and inexperienced players are welcome at all age levels.  In addition we have a learn-to-play program for children 4 to 6 years old.
 

Season

The season will run from mid-March through early June.  We will try to have 3 outdoor practices (weather permitting) before our games begin the first week of April.  We will have 8 games, generally 4 home and 4 away.  We participate in the MBYLL & MBGLL leagues.

Schedule

The games are played on Sunday afternoons.  There will be one day of practice per week between 5:30 and 7:00. 

Fields

Our home fields are at Dexter Lane in Rochester.  In addition some practices are held at Camp Massasoit in Mattapoisett

Equipment

Girls - Stick, goggles, mouthpiece, gloves (optional), cleats

Boys - Stick, helmet, mouthpiece, shoulderpads, armpads, gloves, cup, cleats
 

Cost

$125 for first participant in family
$75 for second participant in family
$50 for third participant in family
Subsequent children are free (God knows you have enough headaches!)
Financial aid and discounts available, just ask.

US Lacrosse

All participants must be members of U.S. Lacrosse.  The cost is $25.
