Post Season Basketball Tournament

  • Starts week of February 22
  • Boys and Girls Teams
  • Double Elimination
  • Deadline for entry is February 12
  • $15 registration fee per team
  • Informational flyers available at the gym
For Pre Pee Wee and "B" league tournaments including Pee Wee, Mighty Mite and Midget, please contact Jack Perry at (828) 219-4250.

For "A" league tournaments including Pee Wee, Mighty Mite and Midget, please contact Byron Boyd (828) 442-2703.

This will be a great fundraiser as we will have access to our gym as well as the Walter Johnson gym.  Rick Gardin is working hard to get this organized and we would like as many teams to participate as possible.  We have ran an ad in the News Herald as well.  Please help spread the word!!

Make Up Date for Cancelled Games

The make up date for cancelled games on January 30 will be February 20.  All other cancelled games will not be made up.

Since inception last February we have had over 14,000 hits at www.OakHillRec.org.  Bulldog news is in demand!

Our site does have an annual hosting fee associated with it.  We would like to continue as we believe it is the best recreation site in Burke County!

Basketball Season Is Here

Basketball Season is here!  Our season opener was December 5.  Check your favorite team page as schedules and rosters have been updated.  Results will be posted each week as well.

Looking for an opportunity to sponsor your Bulldog and their team or squad?  Want to let them know how proud you are of them?  The Oak Hill Recreation Department is offering this opportunity to individuals to sponsor their athlete/team or cheerleader/squad through our website daily - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  See below for details:

Athlete/Team or Cheerleader/Squad Sponsors

  • $25 per year (Contracts will run from the start of a specific season until that season comes around again)
  • Banners, logos, athlete/cheerleader photos, messages, name etc. will be displayed in the specific team/squad section that you are sponsoring
If interested, please contact your Coach, a Board Member or the webmaster.  The webmaster can be reached at .  The webmaster will be glad to assist you in creating your banner etc.

Is your business looking to reach the entire OH Community as well as others in the county?  The Oak Hill Recreation Department is offering this opportunity to businesses and individuals to promote yourself through our website daily – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year!!.  See below for details..... 

Club Sponsors

  • $100 per year (Contracts will run for one year from the date your ad is posted)
  • Banners will rotate in random order with other sponsor banners at the top of each page
Athlete/Team or Cheerleader/Squad Sponsors
  • $25 per year (Contracts will run from the start of a specific season until that season comes around again)
  • Banners, logos, athlete/cheerleader photos, messages, name etc. will be displayed in the specific team/squad section that you are sponsoring
Specifications 

  • Banners will be displayed on the site at exactly 800 pixels wide (11 1/8 inches) and 50 pixels high (11/16 inches)
  • Logos will be displayed on the site at exactly 100 pixels high (1 3/8 inches) with varying widths up to a maximum of 200 pixels (2 3/4 inches)
  • Larger graphics can be submitted but should be fairly proportional to the sizes listed above as they will be scaled down
  • Resolution on all submitted graphics needs to be at least 72 pixels per inch
  • Graphics with higher resolutions can be submitted but will be compressed to 72 pixels per inch
  • Smaller graphics than those listed above should not be submitted as they will not display well on the site
  • Graphics can be submitted in any of the following formats:  JPG, GIF, PNG, PSD, PDF

We will be glad to create banners or logos for those in need.  In this case, any graphics and ideas you can offer would be helpful.
