I’m sure by now you have all heard about the tragic injury that a Norwood High School player suffered during a game last Saturday. Six days have passed since Matt Brown was transported and admitted to Children’s Hospital after striking the end boards with the top of his helmet with just enough force to cause cervical vertebrae in his neck to fracture.
If you are familiar with Facebook then please take a few minutes and become a FAN of “Pray For Matt Brown # 3” and if you would like to express your thoughts via the comment tab then please do so. As of today Matt was fast-approaching 14,000 fans from around the world.
Mike and Sue Brown (parents) and their daughter Kelly (Matt’s sister) will need and can use all the support that is available from the extended hockey family that is out there; not only right now, but for a long time to come. A fund has been established at the Norwood Bank. Please spread the word that any and all donations would be greatly appreciated.
It’s time for all the hockey family’s to pull together and support the Browns. It doesn’t matter what town a player plays for, all players are all of our kids, and we help out all of them just as if they are our own. With that said, the KPWYH program has set up an easy way for you to make donations through the KPWYH web site and make a difference. Or you can mail your donations to the address below. All the donations collected through the KPWYH web site will be sent on behalf of The KPWYH Family and list those who donated. To donate, please go to www.kpwhockey.org on the left hand tool bar (fifth item from the bottom), click on: Matt Brown Fund. Follow the instructions from there.
Address to mail a check:
Brownie Points
P.O. Box 398
Norwood, Ma 02062
Note: If you are mailing a check, please make it out to Brownie Points
Thank You for your support and please take a moment and say a prayer for Matt and the Brown Family. Miracles Do happen.
Thanks,
KPWYH Board
