Congratulations to the Wallingford Warriors on a THRILLING 2009. 

• May 2009 U12 Boys Clinton Invitational Tournament Champions (U11 Champions in 2008) 
• June 2009 U12 Boys South Central District Spring Season Champions
• August 2009 U12 Boys Wallingford Invitional Tournament Champions (TWIST)
• September 2009 U13 Boys Madison Invitational Tournament Champions
• October 2009 CJSA State Cup Semifinalist 
• October 2009 U13 Boys South Central District Fall Season Champions    

The Warriors started the year with a dramatic golden goal extra time victory over a very strong Branford squad to win the Clinton Invitational Tournament.  In August the Warriors survived the heat and two extra time periods to defeat the U12 Madison Boys team on PK's and win T.W.I.S.T.  In September the Warriors bounced back from a loss on Saturday to win M.I.S.T.  In the fall the Warriors went undefeated to win the SCD championship.  Also in the fall the Warriors made a run in the CJSA CT Cup Tournament;  4-3 over Bloomfield, 3-0 over Simsbury, 3-0 Monroe, 5-1 over Cromwell, before dropping a 1-3 decision to eventual state champion Suffield.

The Warrior coaches would like to thank all the Warrior players and their families for supporting our program.

Congratulations to the U14 Girls Wallingford Wildcats for winning the Fall 2009 South Central Divisional Championship.  It was truly a wild ride for the team!  With 6 Wildcats playing high school soccer, the team started the season with only 12 rostered players and with injuries and illness, the team played most of their league games down players -- one game with as few as 8 players.  The girls really stepped up to the challenge.  As the season went on, league opponents got tougher and tougher.  At East Haven the Wildcats squeaked out a 1-0 win, at Guilford a 4-3 win, and Branford was a 4-4 battle.  The season culminated against a very strong Shelton team with whom they were tied for first place going into the game.  The Wildcats won that game 3-1, clinching first place.  The team posted 5 wins and 1 tie to win the championship with an impressive 19 goals for and 9 goals against the team.  

Great job and congratulations to MC, Hutch, Rocky, Shea, Mo, Rae, Kritter, Jenner, Sammy, Purple, Nikki, and May.  And thank you to the Wildcat high schoolers who cheered us on along the way.
