2009 CHAMPIONS

Joseph "Nipper" & Alice Maher Memorial
4th of July Baseball Tournament

Waltham, MA ... In it's debut Nipper Maher Memorial 4th of July Tournament, the U11 Wayland Blazers team finished the weekend as champions. Ten teams, from Waltham to Canada, participated in the senior division (12 & under) of this well established and popular holiday tournament. In this double elimination competition, the team entered the championship game undefeated. For the championship, the Blazers faced a strong, enduring, and focused team from Wayland that played a very competitive game.

In the five games played, the Blazers only let up 6 runs. The tournament MVP was awarded to Spencer Yee. Way to go, Spencer!

Thank you, players and families for your sacrifices and support of this program. Congratulations, players, on a successful and fun season with the Wayland Blazers.

Wayland Blazers U11 Team Qualifies for Play in the

NEAAU Open Division Tournament

The dedication and effort of this team is reflected in it's winning record. As a first season team, Wayland Blazers' players and coaches were committed to working hard and performing like a team. This new team finished 14th in New England in regular season play. Congratulations on your successful season! Best wishes in your tournament.
