How do I sign up to play BCJSA Volleyball?
Registration for BCJSA Volleyball is easy. Just click on the “register online” link on the left hand side of page.
§ Scrimmage day; 10 Regular season games; minimum of 2 tournament games
§ Uniform jerseys
§ Free coach, player and parent clinics to help provide the student-athletes with the best adult involvement possible.
§ Postseason All-Star Game
§ Gym time for practices
How long is the season?
The regular season is 6 weeks long plus an additional week for post season tournament play. 9/13- scrimmage day; 9/19-10/18 regular season play; 10/23-25 post season tournament.
How often and where will my team practice?
Practices will be approximately 2 times per week; total of 3 to 4 hours. Possible locations are Bear Creek HS, Carmody MS and Colorado Academy.
When and where are games played?
Games are played at the Gold Crown Field House on Alameda and Harlan in Lakewood. Games are played on Saturday evenings or Sunday afternoons.
Do I need to tryout?
Yes, there will be tryouts. Since Gold Crown offers two levels of play- Gold and Silver, coaches will need to place players on the best suited teams for their skill level. Tryouts will be held in mid August. (TBD later).
What equipment will I need?
You will need court shoes, knee pads and shorts. The league will supply the team jerseys.
