Our 2009 season has ended and it is time to say goodbye. Many thanks to the Coaches, Players, Parents and Fans who made this another great season. Particular thanks to our Seniors. We will miss you!

Varsity Introductions at Eastlake Match

Our season has ended but activities have not. Parents, players and coaches, please watch your email for announcements regarding our end of season all team Volleyball Banquet.

The Ballard Varsity Volleyball 2009 season ended Thursday night, November 5th with a loss to a strong Newport HS team.

The varsity squad defeated Eastlake on Tuesday, November 2nd allowing them to move on to a loser out match in the KingCo 4A playoffs against Newport HS on Thurdsay, 11/5.

The varsity squad lost a tough one Saturday, October 31st, in their first KingCo 4A play off match against Issaquah. This moves the team into the consolation round of playoffs.

All teams were successful, Monday, October 25th against Roosevelt for the last matches of the regular season. The win Monday night places Ballard Varsity in 6th place overall in KingCo 4A standings. Congratulations again to all of the Seniors who were recognized during Monday night's match. We love you. You are all great!

Wednesday, October 21st, the Varsity squad took the first game of the match from Woodinville and lead through much of the 3rd game but were ultimately defeated 3-1 by the Woodinville Falcons.

Monday, October 19th saw the Varsity and JV teams in action at Ballard against Redmond. Both teams persevered to bring home well deserved wins against the Mustangs.

JV and Varsity won their matches October 14th at Lake Washington. Both teams were also in action at tournaments Saturday, October 17th, in Bothel and Wenatchee respectively.  The Varsity team made it to the Gold division at their tournament.  See team pages for additional details.

All three Ballard volleyball teams came out on top October 12th, against Garfield. Nice work everyone and special recognition to Lisa Day who posted 30 kills in the varsity match - a new record for Ballard Volleyball.
