Dulles Little League (DLL) is a non-profit organization serving over 1,000 families each year throughout most of the Ashburn, VA area. DLL offers a fun and competitive baseball experience for boys and girls ages 5 through 16. Our baseball programs focus on the development of baseball skills, sportsmanship, and a love for the game of baseball, all in a fun, family-oriented community.
DLL is affiliated with Little League International, and it is a member of Virginia's District 16. Our league is funded entirely by registration fees, concession profits, and sponsor donations, and is operated by dozens of volunteers. Thank you to all of you who make this league what it is!

posted 01/01/2010 Little League Tournament and Regular Season Pitching Rules Made the Same by Adoption of New Rule
Recent rule changes adopted by the Little League International Board of Directors will bring pitching rules for tournament baseball in line with the regular season rules. The changes were made after many district administrators and local Little League volunteers had requested the pitching rules become more consistent.
Effective for the 2010 Spring season, pitchers of League Age 14 and under must adhere to the following rest requirements:
- If a player pitches 66 or more pitches in a day, four (4) calendar days of rest must be observed.
- If a player pitches 51 - 65 pitches in a day, three (3) calendar days of rest must be observed.
- If a player pitches 36 - 50 pitches in a day, two (2) calendar days of rest must be observed.
- If a player pitches 21 - 35 pitches in a day, one (1) calendar day of rest must be observed.
- If a player pitches 1-20 pitches in a day, no (0) calendar day of rest is required.
The principle of “calendar days” remains the same as in previous years. A calendar day is one full day as it is seen on a calendar. A calendar day begins at midnight and ends at midnight the following evening.
Example: If a pitcher in the Little League Major Division throws 70 pitches in a game on Saturday morning, that pitcher cannot pitch again until THURSDAY, when he/she has had four (4) calendar days of rest (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday). It makes no difference what time of day the pitcher pitched on Saturday, as the rest period does not begin until midnight that night.

DLL will no longer use the continuous batting order at the Majors level. Teams in the Majors division will use a 9 player batting order for each game. All players shall play a minimum of two (2) defensive innings during a regular six-inning game and at least one complete plate appearance.
