WELCOME TO THE NEW DEVILS LACROSSE CLUB WEBSITE!

We're gearing up for a fun Spring 2010 Lacrosse Season. The Devil's Lacrosse Club is a program for Girls and Boys of the Hunterdon Central Regional High School sending district. NOTE that the program has been extended from a grade 3-8 program to now include K-2nd graders, as well! Registration will begin 1/1/10 via this website.

The mission of the Devils Lacrosse Club (DLC) is to teach and support the game of lacrosse in an environment of safety, respect and fun. The program has several goals: We strive to provide our players with the appropriate level of coaching instruction; we seek to build a player’s confidence in learning lacrosse skills; we aspire to develop a sense of teamwork, fair play, and respect for rules, opponents, officials, teammates and self; and we aim to develop character values that will benefit today’s players in later years and in other endeavors. Players will learn the value of teamwork, determination and committment AND have a great time playing lacrosse.

DLC follows the youth sports philosophy espoused by the Positive Coaching Alliance, a Stanford University-based organization with a mission to "transform youth sports so sports can transform youth."

Prepare for the upcoming season

From Beginners to Seasoned Players

This clinic is prepared and organized into 2 specialized
sessions for varying levels of play.

(Early Session for Grades 3&4 / Afternoon Session for Grades 5 - 8)
Registration—12– 12:15 / Registration 1:15—1:30

Sunday March 21st, 2010

Program 12:30—1:30 for Grade 3 & 4
Program 1:30—4:00 for grades 5—8

The Clinic will be run by the Hunterdon Central Girls Varsity coaching staff, as well as Varsity players - Coach Marybeth Driscoll—Head Coach

The clinic will emphasize fundamental skills and drills essential to success on the lacrosse field. From the beginner, who has never held a stick, to the more experienced 8th grader— participants will learn spe- cific drills to improve their skill level of play and help prepare them for the 2010 season.

The staff and players are volunteering their time and talent in the cause to assist the progress and quality of Lacrosse and support the 2010 high school booster club efforts. For those play- ers who have never had an experience to play, we have equipment for you to use.

Time & Cost: 12:30—1:30 Grades 3 & 4 - $25.00
1:30—4:00 Grades 5 thru 8 - $40.00

WINTER OPPORTUNITY FOR GIRLS AT POWER TIME SPORTS!

We've been given an awesome opportunity to hone our lacrosse skills prior to the start of the season in March. Power Time Sports is opening up their Royal Road facility (Power Time 2, 19 Royal Road, Flemington) to the Devils Lacrosse Club girls on Sundays on the following days and times:

January 10, 12 - 2 pm, January 17, 12 - 2 pm, January 31, 10:30 am - 12:30 pm,
Feb 7, 4 - 6 pm, Feb 14, 4:30 - 6:30 pm, Feb 21, 10 am - 12 pm, Feb 28 10 am - 12 pm,
March 7, 10 am - 12 pm

These will be skills and drills sessions only, and coaches will be present to work with the girls. The cost will be $10 per girl per session, payable when you come to the session. Please make checks payable to Power Time Sports (this is not a Devils Lacrosse Club program). Cash is also acceptable. You do not need to sign up now or for all the sessions. Come when you can. We do ask that you RSVP to Joe Anderson when you will be attending so he can plan to have the correct number of coaches present.
