Welcome to the Bridgewater Baseball & Softball (BBI) Website. BBI is a youth baseball & softball organization dedicated to the children of Bridgewater and Raritan, NJ. During an average year, we have almost 3000 children register for our different leagues throughout the year.
All of this is done with a 100% volunteer staff. We are always looking for more volunteers and can never have enough help. Our Board Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of every month in the Prince Rodgers Fieldhouse and are open to the public. 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the Prince Rodgers Complex
This season Baseball and Softball Umpire positions will be available to all Bridgewater Raritan students attending 8th grade and above. Umpire assignments will be handed out by seniority, positive coaches feedback, and commitment by the umpire. To umpire in 2010 you must attend the umpire clinic on Sunday February 21st. The clinic will be held in the fieldhouse of the Prince Rodgers Complex. At the clinic please be sure to bring your personal information including Social Security number and good contact information, both email and phone numbers.
Remember if you want to umpire you must attend the clinic, so please mark your calendar.

2010 Bridgewater Baseball Memorial Day Tournament

Description
|
Start the season on a winning note with a good competitive tournament. For age groups 8u –12u town teams only. 12u –15U/16u town teams and AAU teams.
|

Tournament Dates
|
May 28-30, 2010 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) – possibly Monday
|
|
Format
|
Bracket play with 3 games guaranteed. Top one or two teams in each bracket play in a playoff game.
|
|
Age Groups
|
8u, 9u, 10u, 11u, 12u A and B – Town Teams only
12u AAU, 13u, 14u, 15u/16u – Town teams and AAU teams
Double barrel bats are only available for AAU teams
|
|
Divisions
|
8u, 9u, 10u – A and B combined bracket – Town Teams only
11u (50/70) – A and B combined bracket – Town Teams only
12u (50/70) – AAU bracket – AAU teams
12u (50/70) – Two separate town brackets - A and B – Town Teams only
13u, 14u, 15u/16u – A and B combined bracket – Town Teams and AAU teams

Games will be hosted at various locations in Bridgewater, NJ 08807. The Prince Rodgers and North Bridge complex features 7 lighted fields, concessions and bathrooms.

Trophies
|
Team trophies and individual awards for the top 2 teams at each age group.
|
|
General Rules
|
Maximum of 15 players on a roster. Bat the entire roster (8u-12u) or play 9 with an optional 10th extra hitter (EH). Free defensive substitution in the field (except for the pitcher).
Cal Ripken Rules for 8u-12u. High School rules for 13u-16u.

Entry Fee
|
8u and 9u teams - $450 per team includes umpires.
10u to 15u/16u teams - $495 per team includes umpires.
All teams must supply their own baseballs.

| | | | posted 05/16/2009 Our system gives you the option to get an e-mail and text message REMINDER of every game and practice on the teams your children play on. Those reminders are sent about 2 days prior to every event, and also 1 1/2 hours prior. If you are not receiving that notification, please log back into your family record:
(1) enter the "Edit My Account" tab,
(2) enter your e-mail and password as you did when you first registered. If you forgot the password, just enter your e-mail and your password will be sent to you,
(3) go to your listing as a parent, and look for the option to receive "E-Mail reminders of", and check the appropriate boxes.
(4) If you wish to also receive text messages, make sure the service provider is provided next to your cell phone number, and they will be sent there as well.
