For the past few years, The Lexington School has hosted a non-contact fall instructional and skill building clinic (Little Scoopers) at TLS for grades 1-3 (4/5 are given consideration based on size) that starts next week.
For the first time, the clinic will opened up to outside schools with the hope that introduction and skill building at this level will ultimately lead to more teams in the Youth (4th/5th) division.
Little Scoopers runs from 3:30 to 4:30 Tuesdays and Thursdays, September 9 through October 3. The only requirement is that players have a US Lacrosse #, gloves, and a stick. There will be a small fee of $50 for the 8 one hour sessions.
Centre College Women's Lacrosse Clinic - Oct. 11th
After enjoying the most successful season in program history, the Centre women's lacrosse team hopes to use that momentum to grow the game in the area when they host their first fall clinic on Oct 11th.
The clinic will be held on the South Campus Field, and it will run from 9:30 AM until 3:00 PM, and athletes in ninth through twelfth grades are invited to attend. All experience levels are welcome and players will be divided up by ability. Lunch will be provided, and the cost is $75 dollars per attendee.
The women's lacrosse team is coming off a historic season in 2014 in which the Colonels went 16-3 overall and won the Southern Athletic Association regular season championship with a 7-0 conference record. Additionally, head coach Julie Beer claimed the SAA Coach of the Year award for the second time in her four years at the helm.
In addition, to the Centre coaching staff, former regional All-Americans will be on hand, as well as current student athletes.
