Cardinal Girls Lacrosse Club was founded in 2005 to provide a higher level of lacrosse experience for girls in the Northern Virginia region. The goal of the club is to develop the player's skills and offer an enhanced and more competitive team experience for girls dedicated to the game of lacrosse. Girls will have an opportunity to play with their more highly skilled regional peers and to learn the game from experienced coaches (many of whom have played the game competitively post high school.) Cardinal will participate in a number of tournaments in and around the Mid-Atlantic, competing against the top club teams. The Cardinal experience is intended to be a blend of intense skill development in practices and games, coupled with exposure to positive female role models and fellow athletes.
The season is broken into 2 distinct sessions: Summer (June - July) and Fall (September-November). Tryouts for the teams occur in late August each year. Practice is an essential component of the team experience and attendance is expected.
Cardinal continues to expand their reputation as a leading program in the Mid-Atlantic and we welcome you to explore all the club has to offer.
