Bridgewater Baseball & Softball Supports the Fight To Conquer Kids' Cancer
WE’RE BACK!!! BRIDGEWATER-RARITAN SCHOOLS ARE SHAVING THE WAY
TO CONQUER KIDS’ CANCER
WHERE: Eisenhower Intermediate School
WHEN: FRIDAY, MARCH 28, 2014 @ 6:00 p.m.
NEWS: The selfless students and faculty of the Bridgewater-Raritan Schools will once again have their heads shaved to raise money to Conquer Kids’ Cancer!
Ladies who wish to participate but not shave their heads are invited to cut their hair for Beautiful Lengths and Locks of Love.
Over the past 3 years students from every school in the B-R School District participated raising over $250,000 for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation which funds the most promising research and pediatric oncologists working for cures for childhood cancer.
Each year, 160,000 children are diagnosed with cancer worldwide of which 15,000 reside within the United States.
Cancer is the number one disease killer of children in the U.S. and Canada.
St. Baldrick's is the world's largest volunteer-driven fundraising event for childhood cancer research. At Foundation events all throughout the year, brave volunteers shave their heads, raising funds for childhood cancer research. Like runners in a marathon, "shavees" collect donations from friends, family and associates. The St. Baldrick's Foundation receives these funds and makes grants to research experts to find new and better cures for fighting kids' cancer.
Since their first event in 2000, St. Baldrick’s has raised over $100,000,000.00 for childhood cancer research
St. Baldrick's funds are granted to some of the most brilliant childhood cancer research experts in the world to find cures and improve the quality of life for patients and survivors.
St. Baldrick’s funds more in childhood cancer research grants than ny organization except the U.S. government.
