Boise River Lacrosse attended our first tournament of the 2015 season this past weekend in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The tournament was quite the success considering the fact that our teams are still getting used to each other and could still use a few additional players!
U11: Our team that is most in need of players, U11, finished the tournament with a 2-3 record. Not bad for 5 games in 2 days with only 1 or 2 subs. Not to mention our team is very young, including some U9 players playing up. Those boys worked hard, came together as a team, and played impressively well considering the circumstances. When we have the chance to add a few more players, I'm sure our play will improve even more!
U13: The U13 team showed a lot of heart all weekend. They finished with a 4-0-1 record, including two impressive come-from-behind victories. They stood tall, played hard, and showed fantastic sportsmanship in the face of some trying times. As the weekend progressed, these boys were slowly transitioning from 15 players to 1 team. By the last game, they were working together tremendously well!
U15: Our full U15 team has really only had a couple practices and the scrimmage in Pocatello to get to know one another. Much like the two younger teams, these boys are quickly learning what it means to be a team and were able to fight through some difficult competition to a 4-1 record in Jackson. They are already playing at a high level - I can't wait to see what the rest of the summer will bring!
Looking forward to seeing you all at the next tournament! Ski Town Shootout, look out for Boise River Lacrosse!

Boise River is pleased to announce that our club has reached a foundational milestone and in 2015 we will operate fully independent from the ILA organization.
What does this mean as a club? Boise River Lacrosse has experienced consistent growth with operational stability and success. We’ve been able to build:
Consecutive years of strong, competitive teams of players and growth in the valley
Developed a successful tournament Boise Breakout with acknowledgement to be a 2015 Dick’s Sporting Goods tournament
Continued dedication from our players and parents
What does it mean to you our players? You’ll not notice any changes as our core club values of bringing a family atmosphere along with affordable, competitive lacrosse will continue to be in check. The club will additionally offer volunteer opportunities to offset fees, scholarships to youth that may need additional assistance, and a high level of coaching and instruction.
We are excited to soon have an independent web presence currently in progress, I encourage you to bookmark www.boiseriverlacrosse.club for communications and up-to-date club information.
Also be sure to ‘like’ us on Facebook – we have a private group for Boise River Lax Parents. Another great forum for communication.
ILA provided us organization oversight to begin and through the years and we’ve appreciated the ability to be part of their organization. In today’s lacrosse environment as the fastest growing sport in the valley, along with our future club goals in mind, we are now ready to successfully pursue and advance to new goals as an independent club.

See you in 2015 – it will be our best season yet!
Thanks again for being part of the Boise River family!
