Dear Boise River Families,
Boise River Lacrosse is very excited about the upcoming 2015 season. In order to ensure another successful season, we’d like to share with you current planning and provide you with tournament dates being decided upon to mark your calendars.
In 2014, the Boise River Lacrosse boys reached new levels with much dedication and competed in 6 tournaments. We’ve received positive feedback to the 2014 schedule and currently looking at the same number of tournament possibilities in 2015. In addition to the tournaments below, we are actively in communication on two spring possibilities and additional summer tournaments to round out our calendar. Please mark your calendar for the following dates:
Tryouts: March 14 Open tryout (with a makeup on March 21) – tell your friends!
Spring Tournaments:
May 9: Pocatello, ID
May 15-17: Jackson Hole, Jackson Hole, WY
Summer Tournaments:
June 11-13: Ski Town Shootout, Park City, UT
June 18-20: Boise Breakout Tournament, Meridian, ID
July 24-26: Oregon Lacrosse Classic, Bend, OR
Girls Lacrosse:
We are receiving strong interest in our girls program and plan to expand this program in 2015 – please continue to share Boise River information and send interested girls our way.
Club Update:
Boise River is pleased to announce that our club has reached a foundational milestone and in 2015 we will operate fully independent from the ILA organization.
What does this mean as a club? Boise River Lacrosse has experienced consistent growth with operational stability and success. We’ve been able to build:
- Consecutive years of strong, competitive teams of players and growth in the valley
- Developed a successful tournament Boise Breakout with acknowledgement to be a 2015 Dick’s Sporting Goods tournament
- Continued dedication from our players and parents
What does it mean to you our players? You’ll not notice any changes as our core club values of bringing a family atmosphere along with affordable, competitive lacrosse will continue to be in check. The club will additionally offer volunteer opportunities to offset fees, scholarships to youth that may need additional assistance, and a high level of coaching and instruction.
We are excited to soon have an independent web presence currently in progress, I encourage you to bookmark www.boiseriverlacrosse.club for communications and up-to-date club information.
Also be sure to ‘like’ us on Facebook – we have a private group for Boise River Lax Parents. Another great forum for communication.
ILA provided us organization oversight to begin and through the years and we’ve appreciated the ability to be part of their organization. In today’s lacrosse environment as the fastest growing sport in the valley, along with our future club goals in mind, we are now ready to successfully pursue and advance to new goals as an independent club.

See you in 2015 – it will be our best season yet!
Thanks again for being part of the Boise River family!
