Parking Issues at Harmony Park

  Parking Issues at Harmony Park

In order to be considerate and respectful of our neighbors around Harmony Park, we would appreciate that parents park either in the Harmony Park parking lot or the West Grove Methodist Church parking lot during practices and games for the season.  Parking is not allowed on the grass near the park or along Harmony Road.  The police will ticket cars parked there.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

EV-D86 Virus

 ED-V86 Virus

Parents,

With the entry of EV-D86 virus into the region, all the clubs of the Bert Bell League have agreed to work together to reduce any potential of spreading this virus.  If your children are having flu-like, severe cold, or upper respiratory illness symptoms, and have not been cleared by a doctor, please do not have them participate in any AG Wildcat practices or games.  Coaches will also be on the lookout for this.

Thank you for your help in creating a safe environment for all.

Wildcats Received the League Sportsmanship Award

Wildcats Received the League Sportsmanship Award and Division Awards

With great pleasure, we are proud to announce that the Avon Grove Wildcats were awarded the 2013 Bert Bell Memorial Football Conference Sportsmanship Award at the Coaches Banquet at the end of last season.

The award is the final one presented at the banquet and is voted on by the Bert Bell Board of Directors.  The award recognizes the member organization that best represents the ideals of youth sports and the commitment to helping the kids grow, learn, and mature into young adults, and from the league perspective, it is the highest honor an organization can receive.

When announcing the award, Judy Hahn (Bert Bell Commissioner) told the group that this year's recipient was the overwhelming winner.  She went on to state to the audience that she and the Board were repeatedly provided with examples of fine sportsmanship from our players/cheerleaders, coaches, fans, and organization throughout the season from other clubs, the league directors, and the officials.

On behalf of the Avon Grove Wildcats, we thank you each for your contribution to this award and to your efforts throughout the season, on and off the field.

P.S. - The trophy is huge and will be proudly displayed at home games next season.

At the banquet, we were also recipients of the 100lb. and 120lb. division championship awards.  Each division award was accepted by the appropriate head coach, Matt Walsh - 100lb Varsity and Tony Davis - 120lb Varsity.

Congratulations to both varsity squads on such great accomplishments!

Go Wildcats!
