Benefiting Boston Children’s Hospital Concussion Unit

Please join me in supporting Boston Children’s Hospital in their effort to better understand and treat pediatric concussions!

After an extremely successful first season, the NHL Alumni Association and the Boston Bruins Foundation have come together again to host the 2nd Annual NHL Alumni Pro-Am Hockey Tournament.  This one-of-a-kind fundraising event is an opportunity for teams to come together for an extraordinary cause, and play in a two-day Pro-Am hockey tournament with NHL Alumni.

This year, the tournament games will be played Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough, MA.  Teams must raise a minimum of $25,000 to participate in the tournament. Last year, our team raised over $60,000; all of which went to Boston Children’s Hospital! We couldn’t have done it without the generous support and help from our Boch Blazers friends and family.

There are four ways to get involved:

  1. Join our team (Team Name: Blazers | Team Captain: Jack Corbett)

Please email   to join our team.  We will send you further information on the Blazers Fundraising efforts, as well as a link to sign-up as one of our team members!

U16 Blazers win the USA Hockey National Championship
by posted 04/06/2014

Congratulations to the Boch Charles River U16 Blazers on winning the USA Hockey U16 Tier II National Championship. The team led by coaches Ben Dawson and Kelli Doolin turned in an amazing performance last weekend in Buffalo, NY. The team went 5-1 over five grueling days with wins over Carolina, Alaska and Connecticut. The girls won the championship with a tremendous team effort winning 2-1 versus a strong Marquette, Michigan team that had defeated the Blazers 1-5 in round robin play two days earlier. Coach Dawson noted that, "The girls all responded to that loss by going back to what we do best. Every player stuck to the game plan and gave us her personal best. I am so very proud of every player on this amazing team".  Follow this link for the full story on the USA Hockey website: http://nationals.usahockey.com/news_article/show/373692?referrer_id=718915

Boch Blazers 2000 Team Champs!

Boch 2000 Select Champs in Montreal!

The Boch 2000 Select Team brings home the Gold from the CHE President’s Weekend Tournament in Montreal!

With 17 Goals For & 6 Goals Against, the 2000 Selects came up big when they needed to with great goal tending, tenacious D, and relentless offensive pressure.  Facing a fellow Massachusetts team in game #1 and coming from behind to force a tie 3-3, the team never looked back and responded with 3 consecutive victories.  Two of those came in game #3 and the Final’s game against South Stormont – Ontario’s representative.  SS proved to be a tough component with hard hitting, but our 2000 Team was more than up for the challenge.  Great 4-1 win to take home Gold.  Congratulations Boch 2000 Selects!

Charles River Blazers at States & Nationals

Congratulations to all the Charles River Blazers teams that represented us so well at this year's MA State Tournaments.   All of the teams competed hard and were shining examples of teamwork and sportsmanship.   For example, this past weekend Coach Mullen's U10 Blazers took their championship match to four overtimes before ending with the Silver medal in a game that could have gone either way. This from a U10 team that had to play a semi-final game earlier in the day at 6:30AM after daylight savings time.  Now that is heart!   Congratulations to our U10, U12-1 and U12-2 teams for making it to the "Elite 8" for their age group after a terrific season.  As always, a special thank you to the parents and extended families that make all of this possible.  Blazer hockey is a total team effort!

Good luck to our U12-1, U16-1 and U16-2 teams as they head off to National tournaments to finish the season:

U16 Tier I
(Coach Nally)- Nationals in Marlboro, MA.
U16 Tier II (Coach Dawson) – Nationals in Amherst, NY.
U12 Tier I (Coach Kinghorn) – National U12 invitational in Concord, MA.

New Elite Division Competion
by posted 01/01/2014

The BOCH BLAZERS HOCKEY CLUB announces that the boys will be playing the 2014-2015 season in the NEHL and newly formed BHL (Boston Hockey League).  We are looking forward to developing teams that will compete at the highest levels.  In September, we will enter a similar format Parity rounds in an effort to fill 3 spots in the Elite Division.

We at BOCH are so pleased, along with the league directors, in how much each of our teams have improved this year. We are the "most consistent program in the league" stated the league's director.

This accomplishment comes from the hard work and dedication of all our coaches and staff along with the top notch skills component added this year- the best in our young 3 year old organization.  I would like to thank Ian Moran, Jamie Rice, Mike Bavis, Sean McCann, Heath Gordon, Dan Gordan, David Hymovitz, Dan Donato, Brian McColgan along with their staff.  Also, JP Mckersie and all his Goaltending staff that have been working hard with our goaltenders all year.

We are looking forward to the playoffs coming up and to all our teams finishing strong in their respective divisions.  Let's bring home some championships for 2013-2014 season.  Good luck to all!
